The process

How adoption works

A rescue dog from abroad is not an impulse purchase. That is why we take time for you and the dog. This is how it works.

Five steps to arrival

Between enquiry and arrival there are usually four to eight weeks. Durations and details are sample values for this prototype.

  1. Send an enquiry

Tell us via the form, email or WhatsApp which dog you are interested in. We reply within two days.

  2. Meet by video

A volunteer introduces the dog by video call and tells you what he is like day to day. You can ask anything.

  3. Home check at your place

A volunteer near you visits. It is not about perfection but about whether dog and home fit together.

  4. Adoption contract and fee

We sign an adoption contract. The fee covers vaccinations, chip, neutering, papers and the journey.

  5. Journey and arrival

Your dog flies to Germany with a flight volunteer. You pick him up at the airport. After that we stay available.

Requirements

What you should bring

Not a checklist to tick off, but three things that make the difference.

Time and patience

A street dog needs weeks, sometimes months, to settle in. Those who know this are rewarded.

A safe home

Secured flat or garden, landlord's consent and a plan for the first days.

Openness

You take part in the home check, stay reachable after the adoption and get in touch when things get difficult.
